Steve Caballero rips up MONSTER

The Legend that is Steve Cabballero visited MONSTER for the BIG EXO Day. Under a perfect blue sky, Cab unleashed his bag of tricks including his signature 'cab 540'

The BIG EXO Day Action Sports Zone was going off the hook today, with Steve Caballero leading the charge at Monster on the Vert Ramp closely followed by the iskate@monster Development team riders comprising Jamie Foxton (13yo), Lachlan Abbot (10yo), Luke Russell (9yo), Poppy Star Olsen (9yo), Mitchell Mtchell (12yo) and Australian Vert Riders Mick Mulhall, Adam Luxford, Zeke Mathews and Matt Katai keeping the HUGE crowd enthrawled throught the day.

Let is snow, Let is snow, Let it snow! This was the chant at Monster when the Snowboarders decided to unleash from the 30 foot drop in onto the 20 foot box landing onto fresh snow! With some of the best young riders in Australia led by Semantic owner Paulie McMahan (maybe not as young) current NSWIS Half Pipe rider Pat Davis-Meehan, current Female World Rookie Champion, Michaela Davis Meehan, Biba Turnbull, Amber Arazni, and the FASTRIDE Team Greg - Frenchy Whitehead, Ben Alexis, Elmo Fielder, Pat Calouzzi and Jarryd Hughes.

Whether your highlite was seeing the 'Legend' Steve Caballero, little Lachlan Abbott drop bombing the MONSTER VERT Ramp or Jarryd Hughes throwing his signature backflips into the cowd off the snow jump - there was something for everyone to see and appreciate!

MONSTER@Your Park Series

As part of our commitment to the grass roots development of Action sports in Australia, Monster will be running and supporting a series of skate and FBMX events thoughout NSW called 'MONSTER@Your Park' between February - November 2010. This will be a series of events that culminate in the Monster Cup that will be awarded at the MONSTER Birthday Bash in November.

We can announce proudly that the first MONSTER@Your Park supported event is the Stephen Dark Memorial BMX Jam at Orange Skate Park on Saturday 27th February, for more info on the event you can go to the Jam's Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Orange-BMX-Jam/210230703582?ref=nf

The MONSTER objective is to create and encourage a platform of competition for both BMX and Skateboarding that helps take these sports into the main stream. Typically competition and events in Australia have been organised during Summer so as to not conflict with traditional winter sports. MONSTER recognises that Skateboarding and FBMX are no longer 'fringe' sports and want to give an opportunity to every kid regardless of their ability the chance to compete in regular competition.
