Monster Skatepark CLOSED Saturday 14th January
Monster Skatepark will be CLOSED to the Public this Saturday 14th January. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our patrons. We will be open on Friday for our normal sessions including the mixed session on Friday night and re open Sunday morning the 15th Jan as per our normal session times.
2011 Christmas Holiday Schedule
Merry christmas to everyone in the Monster Skate Park Family. We are open through the Christmas Holiday Break with a few changes.
Normal sessions apply for each sport during this period. The only Change is Friday night which is now a MIXED session for Skate, Scooter, BMX and Inline
The V8's have been run and won and now things are getting back to normal at Monster Skate Park. We are back and running with our normal operations everyday from 9am - 10pm. Access to Monster is via Australia Avenue and then left after the pits into Grand Parade or do a lap of the track and turn left up Olympic Boulevard!
Sydney Telstra 500 V8 Supercars
This weekend from Friday the 2nd - Sunday 4th December the V8 Supercars take over at Sydney Olympic Park. Monster is inside the race precinct and we are still open but you need to have a ticket into the V8's to ride at Monster.
Andy Buckworth and Pat Casey Visit Monster Skate Park
These two riders fresh from the Dew Tour BMX final in Vegas flew into Sydney yesterday and the first place they wanted to ride was Monster Skate Park (after they visited Taronga Zoo). They were happy to hang out, ride and be all round good guys with local riders. Most people would know Andy as a Central Coast boy, and Pat is all the way from OC California.

....and the hits just keep coming to Monster, Steve Caballero another legend of skate has been confirmed to skate Monster on Saturday 18th September as part of Big EXO Day 2010.
Easter Show Done and Dusted - Monster Update
The cows have gone back to the paddocks, all the sheep have been shorn and the flying pigs have flown back to Pink Floyd! The giant fence encircling Monster has been pulled down and we are just about back to normal.
The boys have been working night and day to get the new street course up and running and it is nearly finished. Keep an eye out for the update that says the Street Course is open. In the meantime the Monster VERT and the Spine is open, there is a mini plaza set up and for the parents the coffee machine is up and running with Free WiFi available.
We thank all our customers for their patience during this crazy period!!!
Today the Parramatta Eels 1st Grade NRL Team visited Monster as part of their pre season preparations. You might have had to line up for 4 hours to get their autograph at their Fan Day on Sunday but today the player were lining up in awe to watch some of the best skaters, BMX and scooter athletes put on a show!
SbA Dew Tour Final to be Held at Monster 13th March
Skateboarding Australia has confirmed Monster Skate Park as the location for the 2010 SBA DEW Tour Final to be held on the 13th March.
This week starts the build at Sydney Olympic Park for the BIG DAY OUT music festival. There will be progressive road closures between Monday to Thursday Night the 21st January

End of the first Monster Residential Camp
The first ever Monster Action Sports Residential Camp has officially ended today. Twenty young athletes betwen 6 -18 years of age representing Skateboarding, inline, Scooter and BMX have all participated in our first CAMP.
Tony Hawk & Friends Skate Demo@Monster
Monster this weekend is off the hook, Tony Hawk and his Friends, Sandro Dias, Mitchy Brusco, Neal Hendrix, Jesse Fritsch and Kevin Staab are headlining the Skate demos and the FBMX Demo Program is lead by Andy Buckworth, Dennis Enarson straight from the Dew Tour and X-Games, Chris O'Donnell, Danny Campbell, Luke Bowerman and Brandon Loupos!
5th Annual Monster Birthday Bash
It is on AGAIN this weekend (19th-21st Nov) We have a full weekend of festivities kicking off on Friday Night with the TM Brain Wave Movie Premier and street comp, we follow this up on saturday night from 6-10pm with the Shaun White Skateboarding Vert Pro AM Jam and our Saturday Night Live Bands, then on Sunday from 11am we have the Scooter Jam, and finally we have the BMX Sunday Spine Roast from 6pm. As usual there is cash and prizes up for grabs and age divisions for everyone to have some fun or go hard! Registration starts 1 hour before kick off.
Launch of Shaun White Video Game
3,2,1 .... Launch! Saturday the 23rd October is the launch of the new Shaun White Skateboard Video game and it is happening at Monster Skate Park. We are celebrating the event with a skate comp with Cash prizes including a street course comp, ProAM game of skate and a VERT Jam. Come along for all the fun including heaps of free giveaways including the new Shaun White Video game plus, Oakley sunnies, GShock watches and heaps of other goodies. Rego starts at 11am with the first comp kicking off at 12 noon - SHARP! Whether you want to compete or just watch and have some fun, there is something for everyone.
Access to Monster by car is limited on Saturday 23rd October 2010 due to the production of Ben Hur. As always we recommend public transport or parking in P1.
P1 Parking is a flat rate $20 and avoids any of the road closures regardless of the ay you enter Sydney Olympic Park - it also avoids those nasty parking rangers who seem to multiply during major events. If P1 is full then make your way to one of the remote parking stations and it is still close to Monster.
Monster open for Grand Final and for the Public Holiday Monday 4th October
Monster is open us usual from 10am to 10pm for the NRL Grand Final on Sunday 3rd October and for the Public Holiday Monday 4th October.
Why not make a day of the Grand Final and come to Monster during the day and watch the Grand Final at Night.
For the public holiday all the road closures should be removed by 10am.

Vehicle access to Monster is difficult for the whole day of the NRL Grand Final, although with a little planning you can make your trip very easy
Tuesday 14th Sept Street Closure for Sydney Olympics 10 Year Celebration
As part of the 10 year Anniversary of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games there will be a number of road closures that affect access to Monster Skate Park - but with a little planning you can still get easy access and find parking!

OK the word is out and it is Official - Tony Hawk is coming to Monster for the Sydney Telstra V8 Supercar Event on the 4th and 5th December.

Due to 50,000 mad Swans and Magpie fans invading ANZ Stadium there will be a number of road closures implimented around Sydney Olympic Park that will effect Monster Skate Park. Here is a summary of changes.

NEW BMX Session Friday Nite 'Late'
Monster announces a new BMX Session on Friday Nights from 9pm-12am starting Friday 4th June. The price of the session will be $12 which includes entry and the foam pit.

The new and improved street course got a test run tonite in the skate session with lots of positive feedback and suggestions.
We are working overnite and tomorrow morning to make the final tweaks for the street course to be open from 2pm.
The 'Official Re-Opening' will happen in the Saturday night session in conjunction with Thieves playing a live gig from 7.30pm plus a free sausage sizzle and lots of giveaways from the Monster retail shop.

The Indoor Street Course has not been rebuilt and will NOT be Open today Monday 26th April.
Easter Show Done and Dusted - Park Update
Finally the chaos of the Easter Show is over! The fence surrounding Sydney Olympic Park has been removed, the cows have gone back to their paddocks and all the sheep have been shorn and the flying pigs have gone off to tour with Pink Floyd!
The VERT Ramp and the Spine ramp is open with a portable plaza in place while we are rebuilding the street course (with a few changes).
We are working night and day to get the street course open and as soon as it is up and running it will be updated on the Web. Hopefully this will be today or tonite! (Sunday 25th).
MONSTER Life After the Easter Show
MONSTER will be completely closed on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th of April following the Easter Show.
MONSTER will re open on Saturday the 17th of April with the VERT Ramp, spine Ramp and a temporary outdoor plaza. The indoor street course and foam pit will not be open until Saturday the 24th April!
Thank you to everyone who stopped in and visited Monster during the Easter Show and watched the demo program which was a HUGE success.
Monster Changes for the 2010 Easter Show

This means as of the 15th March
As part of our commitment to the grass roots development of Action sports in Australia, Monster will be running and supporting a series of skate and FBMX events thoughout NSW called 'MONSTER@Your Park' between February - November 2010. This will be a series of events that culminate in the Monster Cup that will be awarded at the MONSTER Birthday Bash in November.
We can announce proudly that the first MONSTER@Your Park supported event is the Stephen Dark Memorial BMX Jam at Orange Skate Park on Saturday 27th February, for more info on the event you can go to the Jam's Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Orange-BMX-Jam/210230703582?ref=nf
The MONSTER objective is to create and encourage a platform of competition for both BMX and Skateboarding that helps take these sports into the main stream. Typically competition and events in Australia have been organised during Summer so as to not conflict with traditional winter sports. MONSTER recognises that Skateboarding and FBMX are no longer 'fringe' sports and want to give an opportunity to every kid regardless of their ability the chance to compete in regular competition.
MONSTER SNOWBOARD TEAM RIDERS THROWING DOWN IN THE US
The Monster Snowboard Team riders have been throwing down their stuff in the US and pulling out some great results in the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, USSA Championships the REV Tour and the World Rookie Fest.
Congratulations to Jamey Foxton (13yo), Lauchlan Abbott (11yo) and Luke Russell (9yo) who were chosen by the team of VERT skate Pros to skate in the Monster VERT Demos at BIG DAY OUT SYDNEY 2010.

MONSTER is closed for the BIG DAY OUT 2010 Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd January
This Thursday the 21st January iSkate@Monster will be running FREE VERT skate clinics to encourage skaters to try, take up or improve their VERT! These clinics feature some of the best Pro VERT skaters in the world as coaches including Renton Millar (AUS) the 2009 World Champion of VERT, Dew Tour Skaters Jimmy Beck (AUS), Adam Taylor(US) and Jeurgen Horwarth (GER) plus Jono Schwann AKA Kid 540 (AUS).
Monster will be closed for the BIG DAY OUT on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd January! The GREAT news is that as part of BDO Sydney 2010 is a HUGE schedule of VERT Skate Demo's at Monster Skate Park featuring a star studded field of International skaters with a sprinkling of old school VERT and a glimpse of new school VERT.

MONSTER Birthday Bash Announced
The dates for the MONSTER Birthay Bash for 2009 are the 21st and 22nd of November. For the first time we can announce that not only will this party go over two days but it will also incorporate comps for Skateboarding, BMX, Inline and Scooter. Events will be held for spine and street for each sport and an additional VERT Comp for Skate on Saturday night!

BIG EXO Park Closure Saturday 19th September
MONSTER Skate Park is closed for Session One and Session Two on Saturday 19th September 2009. Monster will reopen at 6pm for the Skate and Inline Session.
School Holiday Clinics and Camps
Monster announces new Clinics and Camps for the July School Holidays. There are clinics every day for skate, inline, scooter and BMX. Monday to Friday there are 1/2 Days fully supervised camps, full day supervised camps and even a Residential Camp - a first for Action Sports in Australia. Monster now has lockers for hire,the cost is $3 per 4 hours and you can access your locker as many times as you want during the 4hrs.

Today Australian legendary VERT Rider Renton Miller visited the park to film a clip for the upcoming Dew Tour in the US.
Corbin Harris visited the park today to do a photo shoot for his upcoming book. Watch out for it coming out later this year.
